Wedding in fort desoto?

Im really interested in booking my wedding at fort desoto and having a beach wedding.
For years my family has gone there every year for easter so i have a lot of good memories there and my fianceé family live in Tampa so i think it would be easy for them to make it there, but i have NO idea how to go about checking to reserve a wedding spot on the beach.

I'd like to have the Wedding on the beach and reserve a pavilion or two and have the reception there as well.

Would it be better for me to attempt to organize this All on my own or try going thru a planner? Ive looked at a few planners,like "tide the knot" for example but i don't know if they could do fort desoto as a venue or if they would only do the few beaches they listed

Hi there, have you found an answer to this since you posted? Looks like your best bet would be to either go though the local municipality to book public space OR perhaps the hotels can help and may have a built in event planner for you.
