Wedding Inspiration!

Lisa, on October 23, 2020 at 1:15 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 12
One of my favorite things about Wedding Wire is all the ideas that people share! I feel like I see so many creative things daily - decorations, ceremony ideas, ways to entertain guests, etc. Since joining Wedding Wire, I've gotten inspiration for quite a few aspects for my wedding (such as, flowers, centerpieces, and unity ceremony). Everyone here is so helpful!

What ideas did people suggest to you on Wedding Wire, or that you saw someone else post about, that you decided to incorporate into your wedding?

My mother passed 3 years ago (on my birthday) & my nana passed 1.5 years ago. I’m putting charms that have their pictures & will attach them to my bouquet.

I saw on here that someone was planning to attach a scratch ticket to their bouquet for the toss and I really like that idea I think I'm going to use it.

I'm so sorry that they both passed! I love that you are honoring them with their pictures in your bouquet, that's such a sweet idea.

Thanks. I'm not super traditional plus I don't think I'm inviting anyone is isn't already married so I liked that its a way to include all the ladies in the toss.

I totally get it, my fiance and I aren't traditional either. Most of our friends are also already married, so we're skipping the bouquet toss altogether, and trying to decide if we want to come up with another activity to replace it or not. I like that you're planning to include all ladies, instead of just single ones!

Hmm I don’t think I actually incorporated anything but for my best friends wedding I saw people on here talk about social distancing bracelets and what not so I told my bff about it and she incorporated it into hers

I saw the social distancing bracelets on here too! I think those are a great idea, glad people were able to incorporate them. How did they work out at your friend's wedding?

Oh my god they didn’t ahha. No one used it. Ugh NO ONE social distanced and NO ONE wore a mask. It was a crowded dance floor and ceremony seating and reception seating were completely normal. It was basically a normal wedding.

Oh wow!! From the crowded dance floor, it sounds like everyone had a great time though! I bet it was refreshing for things to feel normal for once, though also a little scary during a pandemic.

It’s nice she was able to get a normal wedding during a pandemic but it was also really irresponsible but she’s so fortunate no one reported sick after

For sure - I would have been terrified as a guest. As much as I want things to go back to normal, I couldn't imagine trying to host my wedding right now (which is why my fiance and I decided to postpone). Glad that no one reported sick at the wedding, that is definitely very fortunate!
