Wedding Insurance

Happy Monday! I've recently rescheduled my April 24 wedding due to COVID-19. We have found a suitable date later this summer. My question for you wonderful people- wedding insurance. Who has it? Why did you get it? Is it worth having? Should I consider this for our second go around? Thanks!

The insurance places I have been checking are not offering cancellation insurance at this time. We have to get a Certificate of Insurance naming the venue as the beneficiary for our reception. Insurance companies are offering those. Just not including any cancellation protection,

Hi Sara! While it's true that many wedding insurance policies do not cover something like COVID-19 (you would need to check individual companies and policies for details on that), wedding insurance is still a good idea for many other reasons. Here's an article with some basic info on wedding insurance: Why You Need Wedding Insurance.
