Wedding invitation fail

Jess, on December 29, 2017 at 8:57 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 14
I goofed. I completely for got to add the "We have reserved ____ seats in your honor" part anywhere in the invitation package. How would you fix this? I was considering pringting business cards that say this. I'm so mad at myself.

Can you order the RSVP cards separately? How do you have them set up now?

My friend ended up jut putting a "2" or whatever in the bottom right corner indicating 2 people were invited. She wrote it in pen. I didn't think it looked very classy but it was the only thing she could think of.

We didn't put "we reserved __ seats in your honor" and I have never seen it on an actual rsvp. Only heard about it from WW. I wouldn't stress. IMO, it's kinda ick to put anyways.

I already ordered them, it was cheaper to bundle everything.

I have only heard about this in WW as well. Definitely not something to worry about, just make the envelope clearly addressed. And follow up with those who RSVP for too many - which you were likely going to have to do anyways!

I agree with PP's I have never seen that line on an RSVP card. I wouldn't sweat it.

I did my RSVPs online and it only allowed them to RSVP for who I entered online that was invited.

I think it will be okay. Do you have a wedding website? I only ordered RSVP cards for non-tech savy people.

We didn’t have it written and we had no issues. We also have never seen it written on an RSVP. The envelope should have the names invited and that’s how many seats.

We don't have a website only because most of our guests are not tech savvy.

Are your RSVP cards separate from your invite? I would ask if the company you ordered from can re-print them for free or at a discount if you really want them. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother.

It's totally unnecessary. Don't worry about it.
