Wedding Invitation format!

Is this a legal wedding or a celebration after? That can affect the wording as well.


Even though you have censored for privacy, you will be using full names and addresses I assume? Everything needs to be written out in word form rather than numerals.

It's a legal wedding both ceremony and reception are at the same venue

I highly recommend looking at Minted’s suggested wordings for invitations – it provides great detail and many suggestions based on the type of wedding (i.e. religious or secular, couples hosting or parents hosting, formal or informal etc).

We had "together with their parents, Hannah Middle Last Name and Groom First Middle Last Name request the honor of your presence at their marriage on date"

Ours is:

Together with their families....xyz and xyz joyfully invite you to celebrate their marriage.....*date, time, wedding venue details*....dinner and dancing to follow

You could add the joyfully in to make it more inviting if you want! But I personally think the wording is fine the way you have it!
