Hey, ladies and gents! If we are getting married on Sept 26, 2020, when should we order invitations? When should we send them? When should we tell people to RSVP by? So many questions!!!!

Invitations typically go out 6-8 weeks before the wedding. Your RSVP deadline should be 1-2 weeks before your final headcount is due. When they should be ordered depends on where you're ordering from and what their turnaround time is.

We ordered our invites 6 months out, and send them out 3 months prior (a little less). Our RSVP date was 40 days out (10 days before our first vendor needed their final count).

Invites are typically sent 8 weeks before you wedding. We did our RSVP date 2 weeks before our wedding, which was right before our final headcount was due.

As far as when to order, that will vary. We ordered ours 6 months before our wedding (& just held onto them) because the company was running a special! But I would just see when the company is offering the best price and how long it will take for them to print them and get them to you.

Ordering your invitations depends on what the turnaround time is wherever you're ordering them from. we sent ours out 8 weeks before and put the RSVP deadline as 4 weeks before. you will undoubtedly have people you don't hear from that you will have to track down for their RSVP. it took us almost an extra week to get in touch with everyone who didn't send back an RSVP. you will have to let your vendors know a final headcount a week or two before your wedding, but if you are doing assigned seating, or making a seating chart, you will also need to factor in some time for that once you know who's coming or not.
