Wedding invitations

You can send save the date postcards/magnets or do phone calls to save money at 6-12 months the wedding. Do not send invitations before 6-8 weeks before the wedding because guests will lose and forget the information and they will think you are B listing for seat fillers

Exactly what Michelle said! Sending an invitation includes RSVP. Most people can't commit to something next week let alone more than a year from now (and life happens in between even if someone now thinks they could come then). Save the dates can go out this Oct so people can put it on their calendars. Invites shouldn't go out until next Aug at the earliest.

Way too soon. You can send save the dates around the 1 year mark. But invitations should be sent around 8 weeks before your wedding.

I'm getting married destination next october and I sent Save The Dates last month. We won't send invitations until we are 3 months out, though. The trip is pricey and we wanted to give everyone enough time to make payment arrangements if need be - but if you are getting married local I'd definitely wait!
