When did you send your wedding invitations? And by when do you need your RSPVs? My wedding is Oct 23rd of this year.

Our wedding is October 7th, we are sending our invitations in the week or so with a RSVP deadline of August 29th. Our venue requires a final headcount 30 days out.

Invitations should be sent 6-8 weeks before the wedding date! The RSVP date should be around 2-4 weeks before the wedding.

Our wedding is 12 December 2021 and we are asking for RSVPs back 6 weeks early (around 1 November 2021) so that we have ample time to chase late RSVPs/confirm numbers/organise stationery etc.

We will be sending out our invitations at the end of August so guests have a few months’ notice to make arrangements as they need.

Send 6-8 weeks before your wedding, have your RSVPS due 2-3 weeks before. Your venue will require a final count like 2 weeks before

We based our dates on how far in advance our final list had to be submitted to our venue, and then gave ourselves at least two weeks to follow the people who haven't responded up.

Our venue requires our final numbers one month in advance, for example, so definitely check with your venue or make sure it's not in your contract, and give yourself enough time to follow up.

We’re sending invites about 9-10 weeks before the wedding, and are requesting RSVP’s by 4 weeks before the wedding!

Send save the dates at 6-10 months. Invites at 6-8 weeks standard. No earlier or later because the information will get lost and forgotten and people know when they are being B-listed. Replies are usually due 3 weeks. Some vendors say they need them earlier but no one needs them before 4 weeks. Allow 2-3 days after the due date to follow up with anyone who has not rsvp’ed. If they don’t get back to you at that point, count them as a no.

I think earlier than 2 months is OK now given that its Summer and people are making vacation plans early given the year we’ve had…

Find out when your venue or caterer requires the final count/seating plan and make the RSVP date 2 weeks before that. We made ours 1 week before and it's kind of stressful to deal with right now. Mail the invitations about 3 weeks before the deadline so there's enough time for everyone to get them, but not so much time that they forget to respond.

My wedding is October 22 and we are sending out invites on July 15 with the rsvp deadline of sept 3. Our wedding is a “destination” for 70% of the guest which is why we are sending the invites a bit early.

I really don’t think you’re behind at all! You have plenty of time to order to send them out at an appropriate time! Remember too that if you send them too early/pick too early of an RSVP date, you run the risk of people 1) forgetting to RSVP because they received it so far before the event and 2) people saying yes far in advance and then they have things pop up and can’t make it and are no-shows that you already paid for that don’t come. Good luck!
