Wedding Limo Logistics

Meghan, on March 28, 2021 at 6:18 PM Posted in Planning 0 3

I'm having trouble figuring out the logistics for booking a limo.

The girls and I will drive 40 minutes to the venue early the day of the wedding for hair and makeup, while the boys will be in a different town getting ready and drive 30 minutes to the venue. The plan was to take as few cars as possible to the venue and possibly go to a bar after the wedding near where the guys got ready. If we get a limo, then the people who drove will either leave their cars at the venue or have to be left out of the limo ride to drive back.

Has anyone done it differently?

This is tricky, because limos charge by blocks, and then by extra hours. So, you may find a limo expensive.

You might want to look into a party bus, or having some people carpool.

Figuring out transportation logistics is always tricky!!

First I'd think about where everyone is staying that night - will they be closer to home from the after party bar or from your wedding venue? If I were a bridesmaid I'd definitely want to leave my car in a place for easy pick-up the next day!

You could also just share this same info with them and have them figure out carpooling and where they'd rather leave a car!

Even party buses reserve time in similar blocks as limos. Use Uber or Lyft if you want something for a very short period. Family/friends carpooling in their own vehicles is also an option without the extra expense.
