Wedding makeup concern

I had my hair and makeup trial run today. The hair is good but bobby pins or holding pins started falling out once I left. The makeup is where I am concerned. The eyelashes they put on were glued to the actual eyelid almost near my crease. I had an inspiration photo and the outcome was nothing that...
I had my hair and makeup trial run today. The hair is good but bobby pins or holding pins started falling out once I left. The makeup is where I am concerned. The eyelashes they put on were glued to the actual eyelid almost near my crease. I had an inspiration photo and the outcome was nothing that I asked for.

My question that I need help answering is do I keep them and explain what I want or do I cancel and find someone else? Im just afraid my look wont be what I want and since these are my wedding photos, I want it to perfect.
Help! This was my makeup trial run lookcfb_1430097.jpgcfb_1430099.jpg

I agree with everyone else. She did a terrible job and it looks nothing like your inspiration pic. As for the hair, your bobby pins should not be falling out at all. Talk to the hair stylist (if you keep her) and tell her that. Your hair should hold all day. If you BM had a good run, maybe see if that person can do your makeup too. Whoever you go with, make sure you do another trial. Good luck!

I'm sorry I am not trying to be mean but you should definitely find a new one. You have beautiful eyes and the makeup you chose would look beautiful with your eyes but she isn't giving you that. It does not look like something a pro would do at all. I would definitely find someone new who is capable of giving you what you asked for.

She did an awesome job! Are you gonna stay with cream lipstick or switch to long lasting matte liquid lip like inspo photo day of?

Let them know you're not happy with the hair or makeup trial, have them do it again, and if you're not happy again, I would cancel that's exactly what I had to do. I had my hair and makeup done twice, nothing at all what I asked for, I now have my sister and all doing my makeup and my sister doing my hair, and it looked 10 times better than what the lady did that wanted $380

I wouldn’t give them a second chance. There are many more MUAs that have airbrush or better techniques to perfect your look

Oh Valerie honey, you need to try someone else.

It looks like they just did a general makeup on you (that you could probably do yourself) and nowhere near what you want your makeup to look like. At least if they did it in the same color, you would be able to tell if you really like it or not.

If you still have time to find another MUA, I say look around. You want not only what you pay for but moreover something you actually want and will be happy to see on yourself.

    Good luck!

The eye makeup application is very messy. Almost looks like the two sets of eyelashes were out on differently. You have pretty eyes though!

Thank you! I was really happy with the outcome! I am going with a darker matte lipstick for our big day.

Trials generally cost money, so my initial thought is how do we save the money but make sure you are happy. I would send your MUA a few photos expressing your concerns and ask if she could do a complimentary retrial because this is not the look you want for your big day. If she redoes a trial (for free) and can correct the issue then there's your answer. If it still is sub par definitely time to rebook. I am no makeup artist and feel I could have given you better results. :/ good luck.

Based on the makeup application in the photos, I would not waste time by giving this person a second chance. Not only does it not resemble the inspo pics, the skill level seems amateur at best, and that is something that will not change easily!

Thanks. The trial run cost me and my MOH $130 each. I have already spoken to another MUA who will charge me $50 to do another trial.

Oh Honey! Find someone else. It doesn't look like the artist that did the trial knew what she was doing. I hope you find someone in time to make you feel like the beautiful bride you are! Smiley heart
