I love The Wedding Singer

Father of the Bride. Always. Bridesmaids. 27 dresses.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding is my favorite movie, wedding-related or otherwise! I also love The Wedding Planner even though JLo dissed teal as a wedding color and that's exactly what I'm doing lol.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding is very close to what my wedding might be, but a Jewish version. I have a very small family (just like Ian Miller in the movie), and they’re on the serious side (just like Ian Miller’s). My fiancé is full on Jewish and has a HUGE Jewish family. It’s intimidating but I love him. And his family is on the East Coast so there is healthy separation lol. But they all plan to come to California and this should be interesting. We’re having a legit Jewish wedding too, so a Rabbi, a Chuppah, smashing the glass, maybe Jewish/Israeli maybe Klezmer music, the traditional dancing and raising chairs. I’m in for a real culture experience!

Wedding Crashers is a good and funny movie.

I always enjoyed Father of the Bride because I love Steve Martin and also to laugh at the ridiculousness that was that wedding. I actually cried at the wedding scene in Crazy Rich Asians because I loved that version of Can't Help Falling in Love (and briefly considered using it for my own aisle walking song).

I really love The Wedding Date! It probably does come closest in terms of what our wedding was like (except the church) - a pretty little village/town where people stay the weekend of the wedding, classic cars, English Cottage Garden type florals, big family presence.

In terms of wedding elements I'd secretly loved to have had.. it has to be the florals from twilight, lol. I just love the totally, utterly, over the top ridiculousness of them. I remember when I first watched it in the theatres and just gasped and when I think weddings, I always think of a reaction like that. Although, in reality... I know it would probably feel like way too much, lol.

I really did like The Wedding Date, it was sweet and funny. Defiantly on my re-watch list. The floral element in Twilight was epic! I know it would cost a fortune to have all those flowers hanging like that. I don't think it would be too much if it was in the woods like it was in the movie. I'd just be nervous of all the worries of having an outside wedding in the forest.

Overall and most like mine: My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Wedding scenes that let me daydream a different vibe/ venue: The Wedding Date (European weekend), Fools Rush In (desert romance, music), My Best Friend's Wedding (fancy tent), The Wedding Banquet, Jumping the Broom, and Tom and Jerry (culture, color, & comedy), Sex in the City 2 (white on white swan glamour), Four Weddings and a Funeral (Hugh Grant in a morning coat), Crazy Rich Asians and The Hangover (music!), Gilmore Girls Revival (lighting), Forest Gump (backyard bliss), Father of the Bride (overall sweetness, process), Meghan and Harry (badassness & secret garden ceremony). I also like the new Hallmark Wedding Veil trilogy because you finally do get to the wedding (x3) with a mantilla mystery. Oops, and I heart VH1's My Celebrity Dream Wedding for design.
