Wedding Nails! French Manicure vs Neutrals

I'm so torn on how I want to do my nails for the wedding! I'd always pictured a French manicure, but I love how soft and simple the neutral tones look these days, too. What are you ladies doing? And do you have any pic/inspiration pics to share? All I know is I'm definitely doing the gel polish so...

OPI bubble bath or passion are fantastic, light shades for wedding nails!

I prefer American to French. Very similar but the white is much more subtle.

I am not a fan of the tradition French manicure (I don't like the white tips) so I am going to just do a neutral color with sparkle tips.

If your nails aren't super short, I'd go with a french gel manicure. I got it for my epics and asked for them to make the white part slightly wider than the natural white part of my nail because it looks a little more dramatic!

Not a fan of French manicures, they look fake to me, you can do whatever color you want

I second OPI Bubble Bath as a gorgeous pink-neutral, but for the gel it is definitely more pink than neutral. I had it for my engagement nails!

@Nadia: That's called a gradient mani, not ombré.

I will probably do something like these, a stamped French, or a regular French mani. I haven't decided on which stamp design I like the best for the tips, or if I need to get more plates.

I also topped with a matte topcoat. Please excuse the dry cuticles and the broken corner. :/

I personally don't care for a French manicure. I find them boring. I did a light pink gel with a gold glitter ombré.

I went with a nude pink and some glitter...I was hoping for more of a nude...the color I picked didn;t look this pink on the sample, but I love how they came out! French manicures are very classy, but I feel like pink and glitter sum me up pretty well!

I think a pale pink/cream with some sort of accent is the way I'll go!

I copied @FreshtoDeathAng and did the exact same thing.

    Great minds!

I'm not a traditional bride so I will not be doing the usual French tips. I'm thinking about doing mine the same color as my bridesmaids dresses (purple). Not completely decided yet though.

    I don't like french manis.

I prefer a nude or light pink - I used OPIs "Don't Bossanova Me around" for a friend's wedding and thought it was lovely.

I'm really not a fan of the French manicure either...I'm also opting out of any accent nails/other fancy designs on my nails altogether, I feel like it adds too much noise to the detailing on my dress and jewelry. I'm going for this soft solid nude (OPI - Heart Over Heels)

These are acrylic, but I'm doing this, only with silver glitter

It took me FOREVER to decide what I wanted!

Newly- That's what I'm doing if I don't fall in love with a color. I don't like fake nails or French manicure.
