I’m sure not what you’re looking for but give those nails a break for a few months...the only true way to strengthen them.

The number one thing you need to know to grow out long, strong, natural nails is NEVER, EVER leave them naked. Leaving them naked, even for only a few hours, exposes them to all sorts of horrors, the worst of which is probably good old water. Natural nails don’t need to breathe, they need lots of protection. So once you notice your polish begin to chip, wear at the tips, or too much growth for your polish, remove your current nail polish (never chip it off, as this peels off the outer layers of nail with it) and apply new polish on ASAP. My regimen is one coat of Nailtiques Formula 2 nail protein, one coat of Orly Bonder base coat, two coats of Sally Hansen Mega Strength nail polish (comes in all sorts of gorgeous colors, some of the thinner colors might need 3 coats) and one coat of Seche Vite Dry fast top coat to finish them off. And here’s my secret tip- also apply these layers to the UNDERSIDES of your nails, as well as the free edge, once your nails begin to grow out, to have overall protection. And if God forbid your nail begins to split at the sides, don’t cut or file it off and the other ones down to match unnecessarily. Use a tea bag bandaid, a small strip of a tea bag over the split glued with crazy glue , to reinforce the strength where the split is, and then do the coats I mentioned over the nail, you won’t be able to tell! The tea bag will grow out with the nail, don’t try to remove it, but you may need to apply more crazy glue in a few weeks if you notice it starting to part from the nail. If and when you do need them shorter, don’t file them down! Remember, nail files are for shaping only, nail clippers are to lessen length! Also, never use your nails as tools, only file your nails in one direction (not back and forth), and never clean or wash the dishes without gloves on! Also never use gels, acrylics, silk wraps or any other nail extensions, as they ruin your natural nails. I hope these tips help you, as it has taken me years of trial and error to go from thin, weak, bitten nails to long strong natural nails! I still naturally have thin, weak nails (thanks mom) but with this regimen, they have been fortified and have grown quite long and strong. Vitamins have helped as well, and also trying to keep them moisturized the best I can. People always think my nails are acrylics! Good luck.

It's great you have plenty of time! I'd start taking a hair/skin/nails supplement for sure, daily! I like OPI nail strengthener. Don't use traditional nail polish remover either, use a strengthening one!
