Wedding nails 💅🏾

Genna, on November 4, 2021 at 7:28 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 11
I don’t want my natural nails for my wedding because I don’t feel they are fabulous enough , however I can’t stand acrylics but I want to look salon fresh at the same time, Im considering a fancy set of press on nails , Maybe even a custom made set , Any thoughts? How would you prefer your nails to look on your special day? Wedding nails 💅🏾 1

I'm actually going for a trial manicure today! When we postponed our wedding, I had some extra time to look into details I hadn't been particularly bothered about, and found a place that does nail art. It's not cheap, and I'd actually prefer no nail art if the alternative was trash, so I'm trying it out now beforehand, haha.

I ideally would like my own nails since I don't like mine super long, and I prefer dip powder or shellack. I was thinking something neutral, but with just a hint of pink or rose gold, like this:

I love the idea of rose gold . If I had choose from the pics , I love the light Matt pink with gold hearts. .

Yes I like the little hearts too! Or even initials? I think the thing with any of these designs is it would look much better to just have plain nails than to have them poorly done, so I'm glad I've got an opportunity to see how good they are ahead of time!

Plus, assuming the place I'm going to even has rose gold! I will have to report back Smiley smile

I actually used those exact nails for my Vegas bachelorette a few weeks ago! I never get my nails done & didn’t want to spend the money, so my friends bought them & made me wear them. Honestly, a great alternative. I had no issues & got a ton of compliments actually lol. I think that press ons could work for your wedding day for sure. Just keep some glue handy in case you rough them up a bit!

I’m using press on nails too! Acrylics have done too much damage due to poor removal at nail salons. I really recommend Static Nails! I buy mine off their website but I think they’re being sold at Ulta now too!

I did my natural nails, but now I get acrylic. I completely understand what you're saying and I think getting a custom set is a great option!! There are so many incredible artists out there, I'm certain you can find what you're looking for!!

Gel tips are more common than acrylic and don’t damage your natural nails the way acrylics do. Silks and fiberglass are also options available. They last 2 weeks before you can choose the upkeep of getting them filled or removed.

In my experience with press on nails, they stay on until you wash your hands and then start to pop off. They have also recently made the adhesives not work as well so they don’t stay on as long. While there are some stunning designs on Etsy you can purchase, I have yet to see an at-home nail glue that adheres longer than a few hours.
