Wedding Night Lingerie?

We have lived together for 3 years at the time of the wedding but he has never seen me in lingerie so I'm thinking about getting something special for him!

My vote is to go for the lingerie. You only have one wedding night. Have him to do the buttons and slide into the bathroom and put on something sexy and allow him to take it off. And yes, I have lingerie ready for my wedding night.

I read in another post that one bride advised to not wear special lingerie for the wedding night under your dress. She said with dancing and what not you tend to get a little sweaty and you want that to be fresh. It can't hurt to have some with you. You could always sneak away to the bathroom after he's unbuttoned you and change into it.

I'd go for having a nice pair hidden away to discreetly change into right beforehand! That's what I am doing as well - and I am in the same boat - long-time relationship and the wedding night will be our first night together!

I have this cute red baby doll lingerie that he got me for Valentine's Day and I am planning on wearing that.

Gay guys tend to have an underwear fetish. Not sure where it comes from, but I don't know a single one who doesn't like their man in a nice pair of sexy underwear... And we spend way too much money on it.

I forgot about lingerie, completely! He didn't care either way. Most of the time he just finds it unnecessary and cumbersome. I had shown him a corset I liked and he said, "Why would you wear that, it's silly."

I would say take a moment to change. Once you get out the dress, you may want to freshen up a little, those dresses are hot! Then change into your lingerie. I think it will add a dramatic effect. Hey, you've waited 5 years, what another 15 minutes!

I will have something pretty for the wedding night. And yes he agreed that it won't be on long but the time it is on is thrilling to him. Men are VERY visual people by nature. So why not give them everything they want on your wedding night.

I had a little something cute for the "after the wedding" private party (just the two of us) and imagined this crazy passionate evening... but, at the risk of over-sharing, here's what really happened:

Neither one of us slept well the night before the wedding. The wedding day started early. We were on-the move most of the day (having fun, tho!) We did not get home until after midnight. He helped me out of my dress... and then we both looked at each other, shrugged, crawled into bed, and collapsed into sleep. Ten hours later, tho...

We're also going on a delayed honeymoon. I definitely have a collection of sexy little things hidden away for that.

I am going to have some because we have been waiting for our wedding night too. It actually has been a stress of mine this week because I couldn't find any anywhere! All the department stores had nothing but granny looking sleepwear! I was so disappointed. I found a nice wedding set online and then a couple days after I bought it I got an email saying that all of a sudden it was on back order and I wouldn't get it in time. UGH! So, out I went again and finally found something at Nordstroms and of course paid an arm and a leg for it! So if you do want some lingerie to wear, start looking now if you can.

I was thinking about doing lingerie (because I am a virgin and he's been waiting 6 years so it will be our first time as well) but he has informed me that: A. he doesn't see the point in lingerie since it usually doesn't stay on for long and B. that after how long our wedding day is going to be he'll most likely crash as soon as we go to the hotel. So I have since nixed the idea completely and decided on nice undergarments instead

I had gotten some special lingerie for the wedding night and the night after. But didn't use the night of since we didn't get back to the hotel room until 2:30 a.m. and I had been up for 21 hours and was exhausted. Though I did break out a cute white number the next night DH definitely appreciated that.
