So, kind of a personal question.... but do you plan to have sex on your wedding night? I'm wondering if we will be too tired!!

I agree with @alyssachu .. if you've never had sex before, the shower isn't the best place to explore. Not as comfortable or as easy.

We make jokes about how I'll already be asleep in a corner by the time the wedding ends. I'm sure we will attempt to do it, but I am also sure we will be drunk and tired.

Likely not until the next day. I plan on drinking a lot and staying out super late with all of our friends who traveled to visit us. Although, we are also getting married in Vegas so there's a good chance we won't even get back to our room until the "next day"

I want to say probably not as it's a brunch wedding and then we have a bunch of family activities after the brunch, MAYBE later in the evening? One thing that turns my FH on is talking about being married, so when we actually ARE married I'm sure he'll be all about it lol

Our wedding doesn't end until midnight, so it'll be a full day! I doubt we'll have the energy haha.

FH typically goes to bed around 10p and falls asleep around 10:30p. Our reception ends at 11pm.... We're notnplanning on sex. Lol

FH is insisting that we do. Lol. We'll see if it happens or not. I have a feeling he's going to be a little tipsy.

I'm only getting one wedding but I can have sex any day, so we're partying all night long!

Im sure we will, but in all fairness our sex life ia extremely active. In the 4 years we've been together, I can only think of a handful of days where we haven't.

It's really up to each couple. Of the married friends I have 99% of them say they were too tired

I was way too tired, and had to spend a long time removing makeup and hair pins/washing the product out of my hair before I felt anything other than gross. The next day we left for a mini-moon in the city and stayed in our hotel the *entire* time, so, you'll catch up.

@Aisha, not to be crude, but if your waiting until marriage to do the deed, I don't recommend shower sex as a first time. It's kind of an advanced level/not actually easily pulled off even if you aren't drunk and exhausted... Take it to the bed or wait until morning so it's memorable in a fun relaxed way, rather than someone slipped and fell and hurt themselves kinda way. ETA: just finished reading all the comments and realized PP had it covered!! LMAO glad I'm not the only one who thought that was a bad idea.

I've heard that most people don't partake the night of.

I told FI to start preparing now, because my thirst stretches into the infinite.

    I'm going to break him.

Now that I think about it, FH wants an after party with friends coming near and far, and I turn into a pumpkin at midnight (early bird, not a late owl). So as much as I would like to get it on in the wedding dress, realism dictates another night in the hotel suite day-after. Thank goodness we are getting married on a federal three day weekend!

Honestly, our wedding is going to be in the afternoon with a lunch reception, so I hope to get it in at least once before supper, and then maybe we'll go get drunk(er) with friends and we'll still probably have the wedding night. We're fairly, as a PP phrased it, "active" lol

Hopefully yes! But realistically, no. Between all the energy we'll already have spent all day, the intricate clothes we're going to have to climb out of, the millions of layers of products on my face and in my hair that have to be washed off/out, and the amount of alcohol we'll both have consumed... It doesn't look too good for the night of. Definitely the next day and all during the minimoon!!

Side question, is anyone using BC to make sure they don't have their period for the big day and the next week or two?

We did... And then got McDonald's because I was starving (too hot to eat dinner) and then I passed out even though DH really wanted to again. You'll be more tired than you think after the wedding.
