Wedding night

So I read an article that about 50%couples don't have sex on wedding night. I found this to be pretty sad but believable. Any ladies experience this?????

My wedding is next year and I know for sure FH will not skip the night. He didn't even want a reception to avoid the possibility of being tired. After 25 years waiting we're ready to make history.

My wedding's in 15 days and looking at our timelines, I don't think sex is going to be on the agenda. Even the next morning isn't going to work great since we have to get up and dressed and to the airport, but I guess we could join the mile high club.

Me and FH discussed this and both agreed that it would be OK to not have sex the night of the wedding especially since we fly out the next day at 7 am. I think there's nothing wrong with it

Daytime wedding with an afternoon cake and punch reception will guarantee some fun married times that night! Ability to rest in between and no chance of being drunk from the wedding unless you go out for a long boozy dinner!

When I'm not in the mood but my fiancé is, he says "hey your not suppose to not want sex until after we're married!" technically the wedding night will be after we are married hahaha jk

I could see it going either way really

Not married yet but if it does, it does. If not, there's always the morning. We plan on drinking the night away with family and friends.

I don't intend to get drunk at my wedding. If my guests do, cool, but I need to remain sober enough to hold conversations with my guests and make sure they're entertained. I do for see us being tired. Our usual bedtime is before 10:30 on the weekends and our reception ends at 9:45. If we are too tired, I won't be sad, but we still have enough energy, then that'll be awesome!

We've discussed the fact that we might be too tired! I'll leave it up to FH.... I've only turned him down once in 5 years due to exhaustion Smiley smile

We will be in Vegas and will likely not get to bed until VERY late, but I told FH that we must. We'll see how that goes. Smiley smile

I'll be intoxicated and probably pass out. I'll take the morning after.

We consummated that thing lol. It was important to us to finish the night off right. Not our best efforts, but we did.

We must moved into our new home yesterday and we SWORE we'd have sex...perfect setting, thunderstorm and everything.

We ended up passing out on the couch. Sex a distant memory.

I personally don't really think it's sad and told my husband that I wouldn't be disappointed if we waited until the next day. I had so much fun at our reception, but ended up drinking a little too much at the end. It really wouldn't have been great sex. We were busy moving hotels the next morning and ended up taking a nap before we were both in the mood. But I'm glad we waited until we were really into it.

I agree with Joan B. My FH and I have discussed that we'd like to have sex on our wedding night because of the special moment in being newly weds. We've had sex over the past year, but are taking an 8 month break now before the wedding for religious reasons. Our reception will end at 11pm, and neither of us are big drinkers so I think it's feasible. Will I be upset if we don't? No. And there will be no pressure from either end, but I think knowing it'd important to us we can make a good effort and leave it up to the course of the night. If not, there's always the morning after and the honeymoon Smiley winking I think it's a good thing to have a conversation with your fiance about so there's no miscommunication on expectations.

I'm hoping to have hot nasty sex on wedding night! FH & I rarely have alcohol so when we do we usually are pretty horny people. Amen! I'm really excited! Also, if it just so happens we don't get nasty on the night of then the next morning it's going down! Smiley winking
