Wedding Nightmares -25 days out

Clarissa, on October 4, 2021 at 1:12 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 11
Omg I heard about wedding nightmares and previously had one but for the past two nights I’ve had a wedding nightmare. The first one I left my daughters dress and was the only one who could go and get it. So I had to go home in my wedding dress which put us two hours behind and there was a fight at the wedding.
The second one I showed up to the wrong venue then I showed up to the right place too early lost track of time and had 15 minutes before the ceremony and guest were showing up as I was getting dressed in the hallway 😫. Then the dress wouldn’t fit so we safety pinned the back and it ripped as I was walking down the aisle.
Please tell me I’m not the only one.

My wedding is next Sunday and I’ve had one to two nightmare a week. My first one was that the horse I was riding down the aisle threw me off and ripped my dress and we aren’t even having any horses at the wedding! My in laws have a new crazy puppy and I had a dream they brought him to the wedding and he destroyed my cake.the next morning I called her and asked if she found a doggy daycare yet! They keep getting crazier! But I just wake up and tell myself that it’s just the stress and it will all be good but you at not alone! Good luck on your wedding

I had several wedding nightmares leading up to my wedding. The two worst included my dress ripping and me being the only one at the locked venue. My wife also had several anxiety based wedding dreams beforehand. I assure you, none of the things we dreamt happened at the wedding.

I’m so glad I’m not the only one. Horses would be cool but not if it throws you off. Congratulations and hopefully they’ll find a doggy daycare soon.

I know it’s anxiety because I’m a control freak and I hate the unknown lol but it’s crazy because I didn’t expect it to happen to me.

I still have a year to go so I'm sure they'll come closer to my date. I get them for any important event I usually have (dance recitals, exams, etc.) I've only had 1 wedding one that I remember so far. We went through the ceremony fine and then it was cocktail hour. During that time we were taking family pictures. Well I couldn't find ANY of my family. I was running around scrambling for them. And then we get back to the alter and EVERYONE, including my fiancé, had changed into t-shirts and jeans. I know it's not the worst thing that could happen but it is a pretty formal venue so the perfectionist in me did scream and cry a bit.

Congratulations and good luck to your upcoming wedding! Hopefully there are no true nightmares the day of Smiley smile

Ugh, please don't say that, haha! I've had quite a few and have another 4 months to go! All of mine have involved my veil for some reason. I suspect it is because my alterations person is making it for me, and because of the shutdown I haven't been able to speak to her about what I want, and of course she hasn't made it yet, so perhaps the 'unknown' element is making my subconscious anxious, but real talk... if I did forget it or leave it somewhere or whatever on the day, I'd just do without one. Of all the possible items you could for get or have damaged, that one is probably one of the less important, compared to your dream with the dress etc!

And I don't know about you but I wake up very unsettled by these dreams and it takes a little while to shake off! Hopefully these will be the last of those dreams for both of us!

Yes! I've had several wedding nightmares, most recently it was pouring down rain, my hair/make-up person hadn't shown up yet and the wedding was already an hour behind, other nightmares including leaving stuff at home on accident, not being prepared, everything running behind, etc. You're not the only one, it's awful isn't it?! haha
