A little long, but these guys are goofy! Smiley smile Wouldn't mind doing a shorter version of it.. haha..

Guy "objects" at a wedding, stating that the bride is, in fact, in love with him..

You know what? I don't think it's funny at all. I love humor in weddings, and they are always in the ones I write, but I think this is kinda tasteless. And I wonder what the parents/grandparents thought of it.

Religious or not (and most of mine are NOT religious in any way), a wedding is still a momentous occasion for the families; it's something that the parents have looked forward to for years (in most cases, but not all) and I think this really took away from the commitment that this couple is presumably making to each other.

A couple of years ago, I wrote a wedding for a couple of comedy writers, who let me know that some enormous prank was part of the ceremony. Because I really believe that a couple's wedding is theirs to shape, I agreed to be part of whatever they came up with, as long as I wasn't a participant.

The week before the wedding, they let me know that not only was the joke part not going to happen, but (to be cont!)

They felt more comfortable without any love story at all. It had all become too funny for them.

I think this is more fun to watch than to actually have for a ceremony. So call me old and farty, lol....

However, I DO love including dogs in my couples' cermemonies ;-)

I agree with Celia. I think it's fun to add a little comedy to a cermony and I love all the youtube videos I've seen of fun dances and things during receptions but that's a little over-the-top. It's fun to watch but if something that happened at a wedding I was at, I would just feel uncomfortable because it takes away from what the ceremony is all about. That being said, while watching the video, I was really confused - am I the only one who didn't see a bride at the altar??

I found it odd that the bride wasn't there so it makes me wonder if it was actually part of the wedding or just a little fun before the actual wedding (although the BMs were there)

I love stuff like this, it's so cute! Probably would never get around to trying to be creative with my own wedding, but I wouldn't be all opposed Smiley winking It would be pointless at my wedding... we'll already be married.. haha whoops.

@Celia- Love the dog idea too! Just wish we could pull it off. Don't think the venue would like it so much.

I agree with Celia... I also didn't find this funny. I thought it was pretty pointless and dumb. But that's just me. If that's something that you like... that's great... but I think that if I were for that wedding, I'd feel like time was being wasted.

And Katie R. - I noticed the bride wasn't there either. lol
