Many of the WeddingWire community members DIY lots of different pieces for their wedding days! I’m always in awe at the stuff they create!! The ‘Do It Yourself’ group in the forums is a great place to browse for more inspiration!

Are you a creative/crafty person? Do you think you could incorporate some DIY into your planning?

The smaller you can keep the guest list the cheaper it will be. There are a few cheaper venues that I know of, like renting a VFW hall or an enclosed building in the metro parks. You can bring your own food to those places, so you can do it potluck style, or a lot of BBQ places have cheap catering.
