Hello WeddingWire Family, I wanted to break the news to my wedding date twins myself )-: unfortunately we had to change our wedding date from Sep 22nd 2012 to Aug 31st 2012. With me being a travel agent I booked my Family our Family Cruise during Labor day weekend and with all my family will be on the ship at that time we said...hmmmmm why not just get married on the ship! Very cost efficient!! Even though I was really looking forward to having my pastor marry us but he said he would give us his blessing in whatever decision we came up with.

Now with that being said has anyone ever got married on Carnival Cruise Ship? It defiantly sound good!

I went to a wedding on a cruise ship last year... and maybe it was just this particular wedding... but it wasn't so great. They told us the wrong deck for the wedding so we were running back and forth for 15 minutes trying to find the bride and groom. And then since everyone had to be married before we set sail (some guests weren't cruising-- which may have been the problem)... the next couple was waitig in the doorway watching our friends wedding. And we were hurried out not 5 minutes after to make room for them. I felt bad for my friend because all the planning resulted in a 30 minute ceremony and reception.

We didn't do Carnival, but we did get married on The Norwegian Jewel this past July. I have a few resources and I can direct you to a great site for cruise ship wedding planning as well. We loved having such a unique wedding and are happy that we had the wedding of our dreams!

We're doing a cruise wedding! We picked a very affordable 4 day cruise to the Bahamas. My mom is concerned that it won't be a big wedding, but we were planning a small wedding anyway. She also said that I'm basically taking everyone on my honeymoon. But we figured that one out! Wy fiance and I are going to figure out what we're doing as far as ports and night shows go, and put our little itinerary in the guests' goody bags. We'll let them know that they can join us or do their own thing. At the very least, we'll all have dinner all together each night Smiley smile I'm really excited about this! It's so much more affordable, we don't have to worry about being able to afford the wedding, rehearsal dinner, AND honeymoon (we're paying for the WHOLE wedding ourselves...while going to college) and the cruise line gets to take over all the details! All I'll worry about is my dress and the invitations Smiley smile
