Wedding party count

6 bridesmaids, 6 groomsmen, 2 flower girls. Word of advice, don’t have a big party as mine lol expensive!

0! And it was fine. I got ready with my mom & sister so I didn’t feel like I missed out on any “pre-ceremony fun” with girlfriends.

Just 4: a maid of honor, a bridesmaid, a “best woman” (fiancé’s sister), and a groomsman. I can’t justify having anyone else in our party because my two have been best friends with me since elementary school and all my other friends are more recent. The groomsman is also one of our mutual best friends who I’ve known since high school who introduced me and my fiancé. No one else comes close to those levels of friendship!

4 on my side, 3 on my wife’s

I’m in the process of asking. So originally it was 8 on each side and flower girl/ring bearer. But I have a cousin that lives in Texas and I’m thinking about just not having her In it. And my other is a close cousin that I recently have been having issues with. I want her apart of my day but she can talk to me for weeks and than go months with ignoring me... 🤦🏼‍♀️ So might be 6 on my side idk what to do but I’m 13 months out and need to think of what to do SOON!

We each had 3.

We have 0 bridesmaids and 0 groomsmen because we decided against having a bridal party.... preferred for our family and friends to simply relax, have fun and enjoy the wedding the same way as all of our other invited special guests.

That was a compromise for us. I did not want bridal party members at first lol. However, it ended up being the perfect amount and I am glad I gave into that request.

View Quoted Comment Exactly! We had a separate local reception and I feel like more of my friends were there. But I also have several cliques where if I asked 1 or 2 I’d have to ask the 3rd to be a BM when I didn’t want to. My sister attended my DW but we aren’t as close anymore, so doing something official would have seemed awkward. Nobody had to spend extra money or stress. But I still had the getting ready champagne, time & photos.


I’ve also read here other couples not having a wedding party but still had parents and flower/bubble girls in the processional. You can do as you wish!

I am having two attendants and my fiancé has 1. I don’t care that they are uneven - We wanted to honor these three for their importance in our lives. I can’t wait (fingers crossed our 11/14/2020
Wedding happens as planned)

We have 9 on each side (2 MOHs, 2 BM, 7 Bridesmaids, and 7 Groomsman), 3 flower girls and 1 ring bearer. Large parties definitely increase your cost.

We actually postponed our big wedding due to covid, so for our small one we had our 2 maid of honors, 3 bridesmaids, a best man, 1 flower girl, and one of the groomsman became the officiant.

5 on each side. Haven’t decided if we’re doing flower girls, ushers they don’t seem that important to us
