Shop like it's their birthday or Christmas. Nothing with names or titles or that they will wear getting ready or during the ceremony (robes, jewelry, etc). Get something that fits their individual hobbies/interests/personalities.

For my bridesmaids I am doing customized tumblers and robes. My husband is doing customized flasks and socks of everyone's favorite NFL team for his groomsmen

Yes. Your friends are still spending their time and money to be a part of your event, you should still give them a thank you gift, it doesn’t matter if it’s a legal wedding or a vow renewal.
