Wedding party question

Is it wrong to not ask someone in the friend circle to be in the wedding party due to inconsistent friendship due to drama throughout the years?

It is very wise to not consider in any way allowing those who have inconsistently been your friends, and created unnecessary drama, to have anything to do with your wedding.

I don't think it's wrong at all! Only choose those who you feel that you are closest to. Don't choose anyone out of obligation, or because someone else wants you to include them, or because they included you in their wedding party, etc. Only ask those who you truly cannot imagine your day without.

No! You definitely shouldn't ask someone that you aren't close to and would be afraid would cause drama. The last thing you will want on your wedding day and the days leading up to it are drama.

I think that is pretty wise actually to not want someone that's been inconsistent in your life

The better question is, why would you ask someone like this to be in your wedding party?
You don’t need to invite the whole friend group.

Thanks everyone. Word has gotten back to the individual, due to me asking the others in the friend group, and the one not asked is upset. Yet they are telling everyone BUT me about their feelings about the situation. I understand why they are upset but at the same time you should be more than aware as to why you were not asked despite us being on good terms at this moment in time.
