Wedding party - yes or no

We are getting married 9/17/2022. Unfortunately, we don’t have a ton of really close friends or people we hang out with a lot. I do have about 3 girls and then our daughter that I would like to be part of our special day. However, my fiancé can only think of having his brothers which he and I don’t feel crazy about only because their much older and just not “wedding” people. The question is, would it be weird if I have about 4 girls and he only has our son? I would rather have no men in it then be disappointed with the way they behave and such. Thoughts?

    I have 2 sisters and one friend (that I've known forever). Our sides are uneven, but I'm all for it. It was more important to me that everyone feels comfortable with their wedding party than having to add or subtract people just for the sake of making it even. If you have a photographer - let them know. They can help capture things in a way that works with your numbers.

    We are not having a WP but had we had one, it would have been uneven because I asked him, he told me he would have asked 7 people (5 guys, 2 girls) I would have asked 5 (4 girls, 1 guy). Uneven sides is not a big deal as long as you have your nearest and dearedt with you and you don't ask anyone 'out of obligation' or because your parents are pressuring you.

    There is absolutely nothing wrong with having uneven sides on the bridal party, though given you’re more than a year out, I would suggest waiting until the end of this year/early next year to decide who will be in your bridal party.
