Hey guys! So what are some ideas you have when you don't have a ring bearer or flower girl? I don't have anyone young enough to be given those roles. I thought of my dog because she's like my child lol but I would then need someone to walk her down as well. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you beautifuls!

You just don't have one. The rings are usually held by the best man and maid of honor, so no ring bearer is really necessary.

We have a nephew as the ring-bearer but we're using my two grandmothers as the flower girls! They were so excited to be involved and do it! Could you use another family member to walk the dog down the aisle?

I’ve been to several weddings with a flower adult (using various names), whether it’s grandmothers, other relatives, or friends. If you have someone you want to honor, it’s a nice spot to use. But if not, don’t force it. You won’t have to put anyone there.

We considered using a ring droid (remote R2D2 type), but in the end we just had the BM and MoH carry the respective rings. I listed my dog as “honorary flower dog” on the program, but she wasn’t actually there.

Many people aren’t close enough to a child who would be age appropriate for the honor. The majority of weddings I attend don’t feature them at all. No need to get creative.

Many couples skip the flower girl and ring bearer if they don’t have anyone age appropriate to ask. Most weddings we have attended didn’t have any. Even the most laid back adults we know would be offended by being asked even if it is a current social media trend.

We just skip those roles altogether. They really aren’t needed, and no one missed them.

We're not having them either. The best man & maid of honor will hold the rings & if you really wanted petals tossed before you walk, I'd bet your maid of honor would be delighted to throw some!
