Wedding photo inspiration. Show me your faves!

Elizabeth, on June 4, 2021 at 10:48 PM Posted in Planning 1 4
I'm not photogenic. I'm one of those people that look better in person than pictures. I have to take 20 to get 1 decent selfie. I only have 1 or 2 good angles. So I think posed pics are going to be my focus. Looking for poses candid or posed that were your faves or are your inspiration to get an idea of what I want exactly.

Hi Elizabeth! I definitely was also stressed about taking pictures, and really liked a lot of the candid moments our photographers captured:

Here are some of my favorite pictures from my wedding day:

    These are so pretty!

I must admit I am much more looking forward to our candid photos since they show the real emotion happening in that moment which you can't possibly hope to replicate in a posed photo, but this would probably be my inspo pic! It's from an engagement shoot but it's the same vibe I'd want in a wedding photo -

it's a moment of intimacy that you just happened to see in a cafe or through a doorway, and you think, 'oh, just look how in love that couple are. How sweet'. It's that feeling of the couple being in their own little world, feeling so much towards each other and being unaware that someone has captured that moment on film. It's of those tiny little moments which are so fleeting and happen so many times throughout a day or a week, and yet, when you look back, they were the big things, the basis for your life together.

Yea I wish I felt confident enough to have candid photos, but I feel like every time someone takes a candid shot of me I don't even look like myself and it's like the worst angle lol. It's a confidence issue for sure but I don't think I could get enough therapy between now and Sept to fix that issue. I'm sure she will take some anyway since she's a decent photographer, but I'm definitely erring on the safe side and doing a bunch of posed shots to make sure I love our photos. It's the most important part to me. It's the only reason I care about making this wedding look picture perfect. The pictures will be in our home for the rest of our lives. More than that they will be passed down as heirlooms to our family. It's the only part of a wedding that really lasts. So needless to say, I'm stressing hard!
