Welcome to the WeddingWire community, Trish Smiley smile

WeddingWire has an excellent cost guide tool which gives you the average amount spent on wedding vendors across the country.

According to the tool, in Pennsylvania, most couples spend between $1,200 - $3,000 on wedding photography, with the average cost being $1,985. The guide also has more information on what is covered in a wedding photogrpaher’s prices, tipping, how to factor in travel costs and meals, etc.

I'm going with Eivan's and it's only one photographer. We're actually thinking we might end up getting another one if not a videographer because I'm thinking about getting shots of both of us getting ready.

We are paying around $4,200 for our photographer/videographer. This includes our engagement session, 8 hours of photography, 8 hours of videography, and a 4 hour photo booth. I live in NW Ohio.

My photographer is based in Oklahoma and most of the ones I looked into for the price range you listed offered quite a bit in their packages. Just make sure you do your research. Many companies run specials! I found mine after I thought I had one, but mine had more bang for the buck and an extra photographer. I would expect a photographer would at least shoot for 6-7hrs with your price range at that. Also ask if packages include print release.

One of my dear friends is a photographer. He is charging us $200 (From getting ready to wedding dance) plus a night in the hotel as he lives 103 miles away. That way he can enjoy the wedding and fun with all of us and not have to drive back that night. Smiley smile Same with my DJ who is my dad's best friend. I used to babysit his children. He's DJ'ing our wedding for free, plus a hotel room Smiley smile

Well, I work and he's retired and although we do pretty good, this is not where everything is going. Any suggestions on a decent photographer? I would love for my sister to do them but she's my MOH.

My photographer is with one of the groomsmen and is a good friend. She is semi-professional and learning from her mother who is professional (she might also be there). I am paying her $100 for them both with and without watermark (with for social media, without for personal use) which is amazing because I literally have no budget for a photographer.

We are paying $720 (that is with a $100 bridal expo discount) for our photographer (7 hours of photography with 1 photographer) and $1,795 for our videographer (whole day up to 12-13 hours).

It varies depending upon what area you live in. Definitely check out bridal expos to see if you can find any deals there. All of the photographers will have samples of weddings they have done in the past for you to look at at the expo.

Also be sure to ask whether they give you full print release of all of your photos. Our photographer and videographer will be giving us ours on a USB drive.

I think that’s a very good price range to get very good quality photos. We are spending $2500 for our photographer, who was very well-vetted by my photographer-family haha. Our package includes a boudoir shoot, 8 hours of wedding coverage + 2nd shooter, and rights to photos.

Photography was very important to me and we took a while trying to find someone who had the right style we were looking for.

We're paying $3,500 for 8 hours of photo, included engagement photos as well. We're in the suburbs of Chicago and that was surprisingly on the low end
