Wedding Photographer Unresponsive, 5 weeks before the wedding

Mackenzie, on April 14, 2022 at 4:58 PM Posted in Planning 0 3

Hi! My fiancé and I hired the same photographer that did my sisters wedding in 2020 because she was great and I know her from college. We signed the contract in Feb 2021 for May 21st 2022 wedding and I haven't heard from her since. I reached out on Monday April 11th because I realized its 5 weeks form the date and we haven't talked yet. I didn't hear back and texted and called her on Wednesday April 13th and got no response. I would give her more time to respond but I'm worried that since its so close to the day that if she never responds we wont be able to find anyone else. Has this happened to anyone else or have any tips for what I should do?

Have you checked her business social media? Sometimes they will announce if they're going on vacation, away shooting a destination wedding, etc.

I'm sorry, that must be so frustrating! Since it has been two days I might call again. If you still haven't gotten in contact by today, give them the weekend (try not to freak out or worry too much) and if Monday comes with nothing by midday, call/text/email and state your concern. Hopefully they have just been away from phone/email this past week and will get back to you soon!
