Wedding Photos in snow

Aurora, on November 9, 2019 at 9:34 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 6

We are having our wedding in January 2020. We would like to take a lot of our pictures outside. However, I have a pretty long train on my dress and don't want to ruin my dress! What did you guys do to help protect your dress when taking winter pictures? Should I buy a big white blanket to stand on to prevent my dress from getting snowy and wet? Any ideas would be much appreciated!

We had our e-pics taken in the snow. It was snowing heavily and we were in the woods where the snow was pretty deep. It was very wet and cold. I wore a knee length dress with wool tights and cowboy boots so I didn't care if I my dress or legs got wet. But this will be tricky for you since you'll be in a long dress with a train. I'm not even sure a blanket will be enough depending on how much snow you'll be in. Also, if it is snowing your hair and makeup will get wet just like if it was raining. I used an umbrella at first but then I just succumbed to the idea of getting wet. We got some beautiful pictures though! Perhaps you can talk with your photographer about your concerns to see what they suggest. You may need to bustle your train and wear boots for these pics.

I don't know if there's a way to protect your dress. Maybe call a tailor or seems tress and ask for advice?

This will sound "gehto" but id get a clear shower curtain n find a way to pin it to ur dress so that you can walk around with a "sled" skirt kinda thing or just get a wrist loop n carry the bottom

My friend did her photos after the ceremony. Her girls held it up and the wet parts were bustled for the reception anyways. The photographer provided clear umbrellas. The photos came out amazing!

I love these pics so much, every time I see them. ❤️ Such a brilliant idea to wear red. It pops in all that white snow.
