Wedding photos on a disc--places to print

Future Mrs. S, on September 29, 2012 at 1:37 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 11

Lots of wedding photographers are offering their images on a high resolution disc as part of the package where you can print anywhere. Has anyone had any trouble with the images coming out badly when they printed elsewhere than with the photographer? Any good places you know of to print?

I printed my e-pics at wal-mart and they turned out really well. You are limited on the size but overall, it's not too bad.

Just checked the mpix.com site! Fantastic! They have better size options than wal-mart does.

I second shutterfly! They email out lots of promo codes for free prints, free photo books, free posters, etc. You just have to pay for the shipping

I used Target for an 8x10 of one of our engagement pictures & it was really dark [like we look like really unnaturally tan haha]. I know you asked for good places, but I figured my no-go might at least save you some effort.

Our photographers gave us both high resolution & normal on our disc. I experminted & printed the same photo & size both ways & the higher resolution came out beautifully. The lower resolution ones weren't recommended to be printed in anything larger than 5x7, but the site (Walgreens.com) let me know that. I didn't print the larger ones yet (8x10 or bigger) but it looks like they'll be fine. I'm too impatient to order & wait more than an hour! If you have a Walgreens close by I'd experiment -it's cheap & easy!
