Okay so a while ago I posted about how my photographer would never give me a date of when I would actually get my pictures she just said Mid September. Okay well we never got our photos we got married June 10th. I had two friends get married last month and got their pictures within weeks of the wedding. On top of that my husband messaged her and she said we would have them
last week well last week came and went no photos. We really don’t know what to do I feel like I’m not going to get what I want from small claims court because I don’t want my money back I just want my pictures! HELPP also the contract never gave a date of when I will receive anything. It just just said after year she doesn’t have to give me my physical purchases like the usb or the shadow box I ordered.

Right. When hiring her she said it would be 8-10 weeks after the wedding but the only date on the contract is a year after the wedding she doesn’t have to give us the physical stuff.

Does she have a place of business where you can show up and play the victim? I would make sure you have a paper trail because her emailing you a date could serve as a legal document. I would consider sending her a certified official letter requesting your photos in a reasonable time. Give a date with plenty of time and state that she must call you by xx date if she needs to adjust the date. Include a timeline of your verbal agreement when signing the contract along with all of your back and forth corresponded *as bullet points. She will get the message that you are preparing for legal action without saying it. I dont see why a small claims court couldnt order her to give you the footage and a refund so that you can edit elsewhere. Hopefully she is just slow and flakey rather than a scam artist.

Yikes. You definitely should have had that included in the contract... can you try reaching out to her again?

This happened to a friend of mine a couple years back and she had her sister call her photographer and act like a lawyer. I kid you not she had her pictures the following day. Might be worth a try! Hopefully you get your pictures soon!!
