We're only hiring a day of coordinator. And we're so glad we decided on that rather than a wedding planner. We saved a ton by doing so, and have really enjoyed planning our wedding together.

If you like planning events, and love to have control over things, then I'd honestly skip the wedding planner, but def. hire a day of coordinator.

I’m getting the month / day of coordinator who will start helping out 30 days before the wedding. I think it is a great idea so you don’t have to stress about anything on your day. In regards to having a planned leading up to the wedding, it would depend on how organized you are, whether the wedding is destination / in town and other factors

I am getting married July of 2022 and recently hired a planner - she is helping with coordinating our vendors and our design elements. Her company also offers day-of coordination so we'll have someone from her team there on site and our planner will be acting as our officiant as well.

I am finding it super helpful to have someone help us with design/theme and I have heard from a lot of people that having a day-of coordinator is a lifesaver as well!

Nearly all of the posts asking this are in favor of a month of coordinator at the minimum. Some people don’t want to put in any effort and just show up the day of, which full planners are great for. Other couples want more control of who they hire and their vision so they go with a month of coordinator to make sure the day runs smoothly behind the scenes so that guests don’t have to work.

Price varies based on your location so no two people will pay the same even in the same city because this is an international forum. Some planners only offer full service and others offer full service or month of. Do a search on Instagram for “yourcityweddingplanner” and see what comes up. Browse their websites to see what their services and prices are.
