Wedding planner vs Wedding designer

Kelly, on August 28, 2022 at 11:25 PM Posted in Planning 1 4
I am the bride that leans more towards the go to the flow but still has an opinion. I want someone to plan and decorate my wedding for me with my vision in mind. I just don’t understand why does. I thought wedding planners did this in the full service package…

A decorator is a company you hire to create your vision. Wedding planner is going to do all the legwork for you - finding prices, availability, reaching out to vendors, etc.

Always recommend having a day of coordinator, and you will absolutely need one if you have a decorator. I would recommend at least those two, but a wedding planner isn't always necessary if you have time to research yourself.

Sometimes decorating/ designing comes with a florist package since a lot of the elements to the florals coincide with "décor" items (vases, candles, chargers, etc.). Some planners will also do décor work as well. At the very least, a planner should be able to guide you on how to select a florist, rentals, etc. to make your vision happen. Finding someone for decoration pretty much boils down to what services are included in each vendor's packages.
