A wedding planner can help you reach out to vendors, get things organized, and make sure you stay on track. It depends what type of person you are and what you feel comfortable with. For example, I like to plan and organize, I also have no issue reaching out to companies and people so I am doing much of the work myself and only hiring a Day of Coordinator. However, if you don’t feel confident in doing those things then it will be completely worth it to hire a wedding planner. Just be sure to hire a professional with plenty of reliable reviews.

Be aware that a venue coordinator is not the same as a day of coordinator. The venue coordinator is only there to turn on lights, unlock doors for your vendors, make sure you are out of the building before tear down time, etc and will not do duties of a day of coordinator..
