It depends on whether your wedding is local, destination, how many family members do you have to help out, your budget etc. Having said that, my personal opinion is Yes to the Month / Day of Coordinator so you don’t have to be stressed running around on your wedding day

There are many posts just this week singing the praises of hiring a day of coordinator. Or do you prefer a full planner who will pick out everything and you just show up essentially?

If money isn't an issue, hire one to ease your stress. We're only having a Day Of Coordinator for our wedding and doing everything else ourselves.

That’s actually a great point. I like the process of picking out different the venues, the flowers, and the small details but I think the timeline of everything is what makes me nervous 🥴

If you don’t mind me asking, was it cheaper to hire a month or day coordinator instead or for your whole wedding?

Our venue has a complimentary day of coordinator for us to utilize.

I just asked this last week and Wedding Wire has convinced me to hire a month/day of coordinator! I have done much myself, including major vendors and Our venue does include a venue coordinator but the way it’s been explained to me (by people here and coordinators) is that they’re concerned with building logistics - I.e. meals make it out on time etc. considering we’re getting married in a church 20 mins away I like knowing that I’ll have someone with me from the time we start getting ready until end of the night, including reception venue.

My best advice is to shop around as the price range varies. I was quoted anywhere from $600 - $4000 😳

Pricing varies! I researched local planners, read reviews, checked their Instagram profiles to get a sense of their work, then reached out to them to inquire about packages. The ones I reached out to offered month/day of coordination (which YES you will want a day of coordinator so you can enjoy your day! Some venues include a day of coordinator already), partial planning, or full planning.

I ended up going with partial planning because I already had my venue and caterer booked and I still want to be a part of the planning process. I’m a full time teacher pursuing my master’s degree and will not have time to invest into planning in the months before my wedding, so anything to help ease the stress is worth the money to me. Your planner will already know of many vendors to help you select from, contact/communicate with your vendors, and help you stay within your overall budget. So I think it all depends how much time you have to plan on your own and if you can afford the help!

If it's within the budget i would completely recommend it. The day of the wedding you want to be getting ready with your family relaxing. Not working if the vendors are there yet or if the decorations were set up correctly or having to figure out a timeline and sticking to it. I don't want anyone from my family having to worry about these details either. I just want us to enjoy it. Definitely shop around i got quotes from 800 to 2500 for just day if coordination.
