Soon to be Mrs. Z, on September 19, 2013 at 3:48 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 10

Im putting together a basket for my brother in law's fiancé. So far I have

- DIY binder with photo ideas, traditions ect.

-Just married Mr & Mrs Zytniowski car magnet

- A package of thank you cards..

what would you like to see in a basket like this? They aren't wine/champs drinkers

Aww, that's very sweet of you!

Maybe if you have any recent-ish wedding magazines, you could include those? Not sure if you used any, but if you made any of your own excel workbooks, etc to keep track of things you could provide her with those...and maybe a list of guests (from your DH's side, obviously).

I know I created a budget excel workbook and a guest list one (with addresses, guest count, lists for gifts we received and whether or not we sent a thank you, etc).

Could also point her here. Smiley smile

A list of upcoming wedding shows in her area?

A list of wedding TV shows that she might enjoy.

A list of possible music for ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception.

    I would include:

An address book/date book for appts.

A magazine for planning wedding in your area

A binder to keep all of their ideas in

A notepad to write all the ideas on, keep notes

A pen to write it all down

Maybe collect some paint samples from lowes so they can choose their colors

    Thank you cards

A sweet personal note from you and hubby

My sister made me a dry erase (pinterest style in a cheap picture frame) That says ___ days until my wedding! So I can write how many days I have left.

I'm going to second the idea of excel workbooks--my sister handed over all of hers (via email) and it was a life saver. Just seeing how she set them up was helpful, but it was even better to see how someone else (a real person, not just a website) structured their budget, timelines, etc.

Maybe buy her a cute thumb drive and put a few things on there? They make some really cute ones--maybe you could find a wedding-related one!

Something about WW? Include what all you can do on here. Personal (yours) vendor information and recommendations.

Excel sheets and jump drive is a really great idea.

Print up a timeline as to when things should get done (STDs, order and mail, invitations, order wedding dress, find venue, etc.).
