Wedding Planning

We are planning our wedding for June 2022 for about 100 people. My fiancé has a large extended family that will be flying down from New York & Virginia so we’re looking for a place somewhere in Georgia (more around Atlanta and the surrounding areas) to have the ceremony and reception without breaking the bank. We would love to find a place that would let us choose our own caterer and do some DIY decor to save some money. Any recommendations?

Hi fellow Ga bride! I would suggest the venue we used but it isn't large enough for your guest count and you can't use your own vendor. I would however check your local and surrounding cities websites as there are so many with community centers that are super cheap, like $30 an hour or less kinda cheap and most come with tables and chairs! You do have to do your own setup and clean up but you also have the freedom to splurge a bit since the venue is so cheap. Good luck!

Welcome to the WeddingWire community, Keyera!

When searching for a venue, you may find it tricky to find one which allows you to bring your own external caterer. This is due to liability concerns. In this circumstance, I always advise couples to speak with the caterer you wish to use and ask for a list of venues they’ve catered at before. This will provide you with a list of venues you know allow external caterers and may make the search easier Smiley smile
