Hi everyone,

I know that we are in the midst of a huge global problem that has forced many of us to cancel/postpone our wedding dates months to a year out. We are strong and we will weather through this! On a more positive note:

1. When is your new wedding date? Ours is May 1st 2021. I love the date and it is easy to remember ha! The flowers and vineyard will be more in bloom then as well. Smiley smile

2. Since you have more time for preparations/planning now, are you making any additions and changes to your wedding? I am getting more personalized gifts for my wedding party, redesigning some of the signs to make them more intricate, buying a 2nd pair of shoes to wear during reception, saving more $$$ so I can have my flower explosion, personalizing more wedding favors and inviting more people. I want to make it bigger and better!!

Keep safe!

Best of luck on your preparations! 5/1/21 has a nice ring to it don't you think? Plus spring will have more blooms for a beautiful wedding. Smiley smile

Oh our new date is April 24th. But I do love the 5/1/21! Our daughter's bday is in May so we kept it in April. Thanks and Best of Luck!

I used Ann's Bridal Bargain and loved mine. And they are giving me 40% to reorder. They were so inexpensive and well made the first time, I would definitely suggest trying them. I paid about $200 and used RSVP post cards included. Their customer service is so nice too.

I want to postpone right now but my fiance wants us to wait two weeks. We're in Manhattan so we know a few people in the hospital right now with COVID-19 and its putting everything into perspective for us. Hopefully we will still legally get married, and have the party another time

I haven't even STARTED a time line. I'm not even sure how to figure this out. I guess.. the whole "it happens when it happens" isn't good planning. lol

Check the airline policies, with all these going on, they are waiving all fees and let you rebook with new dates. I had family coming from Ecuador, and I can't imagine going through the wedding without them. Didn't want to risk it for a May 30 date...

Hi Gabriela. Yes they are waiving the change fees, the problem is not knowing when it’s safe to say this will be over and things will be back to normal. I don’t wanna postpone for the fall and go through the same. And the airline has a deadline to reschedule the new tickets. At this point I just wish I could get the money back.

Do you have a coordinator yet or do you plan on getting one? I do recommend at least a day of coordinator

I think I am going to ask my niece to help me with the "day of details". She would be very good with this.

Our original date was March 24th and the new date is November 14th. We were lucky that all the vendors let us push the date out with no fees so the only preparation I need to do is the favors since they all have the wrong date on them. I was heartbroken but the way i look at it is right now, my wedding would be over. Now I still get to look forward to the celebration

My wedding date was May 30th. Our venue cancelled our event as in California the stay at home order won’t be lifted until May 15. We have since postponed until December 19, 2020. We were just getting ready to have our details meeting when things got shut down. Now with more time we have decided to have those special extras we couldn’t afford before. I’m sending postcard STD’s. And the original invitations as I was just starting to print them. I have enough to send out with the new date.

This is a fun twist on the subject!!

    1. New Date - December 12, 2020, it will now be a Romantic Winter Wedding Smiley heart

    2. Changes - WELL we went from a summer wedding to a winter one so we have quite a bit to adjust but we are welcoming the challenge.

    Attire

We were already using gem tones for our Bridal party (burgundy/hunter green/mauve) so their dresses will still work for the season. I purchased the girls shawls to wear on their arms to stay warm in chillier weather. I am going to add a fur stole to my wedding day look for photo's and maybe the walk down the aisle, haven't decided yet. FH has decided to move from navy suits to black but that's all they had needed to adjust.

    Floral

We were using white magnolia's and heavy greenery originally. I have worked with my florist to add upon what we have already. Adding burgundy flowers, holly branches, embrace a classic romantic winter in the Carolina's. We are also getting married indoors now and the room has a large fireplace so we are working with our florist to design a mantle piece as well.

    Overall

To truly winterize our look, we are adding more golds and burgundy to warm up the space. We will have more time now to play with different materials on our tables and using only chivari chairs, or look at different chairs altogether. We have taken this change positively and are so excited for our new date and new look.

Our new date is June 13 too! We were April 4th, we canceled 2 weeks out, and had pretty much everything done as well! Now we’re just hoping 6/13 will work!

We were meant to be married next Saturday, May 9 in Pennsylvania. Now due to this pandemic, we have rescheduled for October 4, and are hoping we can still have our full guest list in attendance!
I’m looking at this in a positive way because October is our favorite month and we can add our spooky/Halloween element to it now.
Just hoping we can have the wedding we planned for!

Our original date was 3/21/2020 and I decided to postpone til next year because the date was significant for me. It was the start of spring which symbolized a fresh start and new beginning. However our venue is booked next year March. So we will elope in October which is our dating anniversary, and then move our actual wedding to October 23, 2021. We met at a Halloween party so at least it will still be sentimental ❤️

Same! So I’m kind of excited. We’re moving from March to October. But I had a full blown spring palette so I’m thinking of adding a different color. Originally we were using blush, ice blue, and sage. But I don’t think those work for fall. So I’m trying to find something else, although my bridesmaids already bought blush dresses. So will probably keep that as one of the colors

I’m in the same boat. From a Spring wedding to fall. But can’t decide on a new pallet. My colors were blush, ice blue and sage. I’m going to keep the blush (I think) but choose other colors that go with it. It’s tough deciding lol

Only thing that sucks is that I had already mailed out my invitations right before everything fell apart. So I’ll have to do new invites now. And my previous ones were hand made
