So I recently got engaged, and we aren't getting married for a bit. BUT I'm already looking at processional songs. I am absolutely IN LOVE with Wings by Birdy.

1. Grooms grandparents2. Grooms parents3. Brides mom4. Groom5. 3 Bridesmaids/3 Groomsmen6. Maid of Honor/Best Man7. Ring bearer8. Flower girl9. Father of the Bride & Bride

We didn't have the grandparents process - only two of them (total) are still alive and neither moves well, so they were more comfortable just sitting before things got started.

His parents were escorted in and then my mom was, to U2's "Beautiful Day"

Then the officiant, H, and the GM processed to Jackie Wilson's "Higher and Higher"

Then the BMs to The Beatles' "Something"

Then, as my dad passed many years before the wedding, my brother walked me down the aisle to Iz's "Over the Rainbow"

We didn't have a flower girl or ring bearer.

There is no right or wrong way - just what the two of you like

OP here - meant to include this in my post but can't edit. My question is: is the song long enough for all that? It's 4:12 long.

That's going to depend on how long your aisle is. The shorter the aisle, the more people can walk to the same length song.

Generally, you and your escort will process to a different song than everyone else, as a side note.

Over four minutes for a processional is way too long. Guests aren't going to want to sit through that long of watching people walk down the aisle. Nor should it take that long for parents, the bridal party and the bride to walk down the aisle.

That is very interesting! Everything I've found online says they're on average 3-5 minutes. I've only been to one wedding in my life and I think it was about 5 minutes since she has 7 bridesmaids.

The length of the aisle and the speed at which everyone is walking with impact how long it takes. Also the bride and her escort typically walk down to a separate song. I don't think any of the weddings I have been to has the bride walked down the aisle to the same song as everyone else.

You can’t also have your dj or whoever is providing the music for the ceremony start the song at a different point then the beginning. For example if there’s a spot where it would make sense for the song to start at like 23 seconds or whatever your vendor will know how to do that. Or you can have your vendor fade out the song before it’s finished.

Our aisle was really long because we were outside so it actually took longer than the length of the song I picked. In the end, the DJ looped the song for the wedding party and then changed to my song at the appropriate time.

Maybe you should ask someone to time a practice procession (at the venue, the sooner the better) with a stopwatch and see how long it takes everyone, then use that to judge if the song is an appropriate length.
