Wedding Reception After-Party

Mrs., on February 28, 2012 at 10:51 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 15

Are you all going out with your guests after your Wedding Reception? We have so many of our family and friends around our age range coming into town for our Wedding, which is in one of the best party cities in the nation, so we want to continue our celebration after midnight! All guests who want to join us will be chipping in for a party bus that'll escort us anywhere we want to go. Anyone else doing something similar?

We are having an after party at a lounge after the reception for all of our friends. I love the party bus idea, they are super fun.

I'm taking a different approach... partying with friends at the reception. LOL!

That was our original plan...but we were all so tired that it didn't happen. It's a long day, especially for the girls since we take longer to get ready. So our plans for bowling/drinking after were mutually a bust lol

(Or maybe I'm just getting too old lol)

Mrs. Clarke- That was my initial worry, but my Bridesmaids assured plenty of 5 Hour Energy and B-12 will be available LOL...they won't take NO for an answer now to the idea!

I was thinking about doing the same thing since our reception will end at 11.. but then I got to thinking about my dress, and that I would have to change out of it, and that maybe I should just go and spend the time with the new hubby. So, not sure.

What are your plans? keeping your dress on?

Our reception is over at 9:00, so we're all going back and taking over the hotel bar!!!

Our reception is over at 10:30, but it also has a pool table there. So we plan on having more drinks, playing some pool, starting a nice bonfire and hanging out!

This has been my idea since I began wedding planning. Our reception is ending at 10pm and since our venue is a non alcoholic venue, we have decided that whoever wants to can follow us to my favorite bar and we are going to continue the party there. @B. S.: I have my reception dress and it also screams party from head to toe...

Our reception ends at 8:30pm so that leaves plenty of time to hang out, since we wouldn't be able to do it the next day. My FH is in the military and we are very far from our family so it would be really nice to spend some extra time with them. Many of our family members haven't been to NY in a very long time so we are renting another limo and hitting up some of the hot spots!

We have our venue for the weekend, so we aren't doing an official after party we expect it will just end naturally as people depart for bed. Fh and I may disappear for a while when I change out of my dress and relax in our suite with a bottle of prosecco to refresh for the rest of the late night festivities, which following our friends weddings has included beer pong and bonfires Smiley smile.

We are just going to see how the night goes. Everything is at the hotel and the reception ends at 930. We have rented an extra room that will be stocked with food and alcohol so that we can continue the party there or we have talked about going out. Part of me wants to go out with all of our friends and family that we don't see that often.....but then the other part of me is thinking "It's your WEDDING NIGHT!!!!"

We are having a morning ceremony on the beach and brunch buffet reception at a restaurant that sits above the beach. After the reception an once we have loosened up a little, mimosas and bloody mary's will be served, FI and I will go back to the beach for a TTD shoot.

Late afternoon we are meeting back up with everyone for a second reception at a Luau, which includes all food and alcohol. Basically it will be a party the whole day.

@BS, I need to find something to wear to the Luau as my dress will be wet and really want to be able to relax in something lighter anyway. Haven't even started looking.
