Wedding/ Reception venue in DFW for under 5K

Delaney, on January 6, 2017 at 12:25 PM Posted in Planning 0 18

Hey everyone so I'm trying to do a nice outdoor wedding ceremony/indoor reception in DFW for about $5,000. Our entire budget is 15k so we don't want to spend any more than that on the venue. Does anyone have any ideas of outdoor venues (pretty garden/forest) in the DFW that would be under this price. I've been looking and have not had a lot of luck. Any advice is great! Thank you!!

How many guests? And what do you want the venue to include? Catering/alcohol? Tables, chairs, linens?

I'm not sure what DFW is, but have you tried the local government/parks system?

Your budget is about the same as mine, but we could only spend about $1100 on venue (includes use of their tables, chairs, bathrooms & tent). I just wanted to let you know that for reference in case you're not very far yet in budgeting for other things- the venue cost turned out to be a much smaller piece of the budget than I had expected at first. We'll have about 100 guests though, so almost $8k is going to go towards catering (food, booze, labor & gratuities), which may be a lot more than you'll need.

Check out the Duck Pond in Fort Worth, the Botanical Gardens in both cities, parks by lakes, that sort of thing.

Jayquellin, DFW is dallas Fort Worth. I've looked at a lot of venues and most cost about 6,000 including tables chairs and all that other stuff.

We have a BBQ catering quoted for around 2,500.

We are looking to have around 120 guests.

I'd like the venue to include: tables, chairs, linens, if they could sound system, bride and groom suite. Anything else would be a bonus! Also need them to allow outside vendors

Wow, good luck finding that. Kind of a rarity for this area, with everything you want, especially indoor/outdoor and being able to bring in your own vendors.

Don't be discouraged just keep looking! But you will have to compromise on stuff because most places won't allow your own vendors if they provide stuff

I'm getting married in Weatherford on a Friday and my venue alone is $4500. That's not including food, alcohol etc but I can bring all my own vendors. That was the cheapest I found and looked at a lot of places. Sunday thru Thursday is even cheaper just fyi.

Look on homeaway.com and Vrbo. In my area there are a number of large homes with ball rooms.

We just booked our venue in Waxahachie for just under $5K (for an off-peak Saturday) at Hidden Waters. It's really beautiful! I would definitely recommend checking them out Smiley smile

ETA: They have a gorgeous bridal suite! Also have groom room, provide tables and chairs, and allow outside vendors!

Try white rock lake winfrey point. Also venuesandvows.com has some rental properties like home away, except these people specifically rent for weddings
