Wedding registry. What was your most expensive item purchased?

So FH and I registered yesterday. He had way too much fun scanning items. I'm just curious because he registered for crazy expensive items. I know we need to have a good price range of high to low items but did you actually receive your expensive items? Is it ok to put the same item on the list at 2...

So FH and I registered yesterday. He had way too much fun scanning items. I'm just curious because he registered for crazy expensive items. I know we need to have a good price range of high to low items but did you actually receive your expensive items? Is it ok to put the same item on the list at 2 different places? I'm clueless when it comes to this.

    My aunt bought all of our silverware, which is the most generous gift we've received so far. FH and I didn't register for any big items over $250 though-- we just feel more comfortable purchasing those items ourselves.

    I think you will always be surprised by what other people think is appropriate to spend. You shouldn't worry about how much things cost on your registry, it is a huge list of wants- make sure there are things in different price points and be done with it. If people are going to judge you on what you have on there that is their problem.
