I put neutral sheets and towels on our registry (light gray) because they go with our current apartment and are neutral so will most likely go with whatever our home will look like in the future.

We live in an apartment and I don’t want to buy a bunch of matching furniture and decor til we buy a house. But everyone can use nice bedding, towels, a shower curtain and bath mat. I would pick a color you think is soothing, see what the options are and go from there. You can never go wrong with white, natural colors, light blue or green.

I Say go with neutrals, then you can always change accessories to give it a different look or palette.

What colors do you like?? Like everyone said you could always do the neutral colors. I put light grey and black because those colors go very well!

There are so many ways to go about this. Here's what I did:

I always thought I didn't have a favorite color, and then I realized that most things I own are either blue/teal or dark grey. My fiancè is okay with that, so most of the things we chose where we had to pick a color are those colors. Since stores were closed when we needed to add things to our registry, (and going in and touching everything in a store is still frowned upon), I chatted online with customer service from the store I wanted to get them from to ask which towels were the fluffiest.
This might be more useful to you:Think about how you and your fiancè like to entertain, if you do. I did that and we ended up registering for 16 of each for place setting item (plates, glasses, silverware settings). We left off anything that we already have and* like.
I saw that you said you get sick of things often. The registry doesn't just have to be for stuff you need. You can definitely add items to upgrade/replace things you have, but are sick of.
If none of that was helpful or if it seems overwhelming, go to a medium-high end furniture store like Crate & Barrel, Pottery Barn, or West Elm (West Elm has a pretty wide variety of colors and details that might be appealing if you get sick of things quickly) and look at the displays. They usually have small areas that represent each room. Pick 1 kitchen, 1 bathroom, and 1 bedroom that you like overall look of, and register for everything in that display.

Something else with towels. If you have enough space to have guests, you may want to get a couple of sets in colors distinctly different from your own, a contrasting pair of colors that don't look bad with yours, but are easy to remember. So when you put out towels for guests, they are not always using yours.
