Wedding Registry/wish List for Your Home

Elizabeth, on August 13, 2019 at 5:09 PM Posted in Registry 0 14

What is on your wish list? Ours will become our shopping/wish list for a house when we have one (in the near future, hopefully).

Upgraded linens, pots & pans, luggage, and knife set.

There's also some other odds and ends such as pet toys and cooking utensils.

I really want a new stand mixer with some fun attachments. I have been “borrowing” my mom’s for the last three years 😉. We’ll also include smaller items that need upgrading-dishes and stuff like that.

I want a professional grade steamer! I hate ironing and need to dress up every day. We desperately need canisters, every day dishes and glasses. My FH wants a Nintendo switch. I dunno about that. I've had friends register for kegerators and Apple TVs, though.

Thank you, I read the article and it was helpful. FH and I live together and have many items already. We're curious to see what items other couples are registering for beyond the basics.

We have a Kitchen Aid one that we picked up at Costco. It's a heavy duty one and great for making breads, mixing heavy doughs, whipping egg whites for meringue, and whipping heavy cream for mousse and ice cream!

My FH wants a new graphics card for our PC. I said "no," this is a wedding registry, not the PC upgrade registry, lol.

Yeah, I have a madeleine pan, silpats, candy molds for making holiday gifts, other baking/cooking gadgets I've had my eye on and haven't picked up yet.

Haha! So true. I dont want Great Aunt Nellie to see that on there and think we're greedy. I will let him pick out a grill, though. I think that's ok.

We’re getting married in April and moving into our first house together next month so we’ve added things like new night stands, light fixtures, more bed linens, some wall art, rugs, etc. we have enough stuff to furnish most of the rooms, but nothing matches, you know?

We’ve also added fun things a tandoori oven, this really cool chess set, and a tandem kayak

Oh yeah, FH gets to pick the grilling tools when we have a house! We didn't want to put large items on either-- we'd need to return/exchange them if they don't work with the space of a house once we get it! My sister and her husband sold their old couch when they moved to a house because it was the wrong shape and size for their living room. We'd rather pick out furnishings for a house once we have it and after we do any painting or pre-move changes.

Where did you find a tandoori oven? We'd like to make our own roti-- would a pizza stone suffice?

We thought about getting a few upgrades and I put a few on our registry. We're not at a point yet where we need to upgrade appliances, yet. We invested in a Kitchen Aid stand mixer, Lodge cast iron pans, an ice cream maker, and some other kitchen tools. By "we," FH bought them and I use them to cook and bake... and have made it a challenge for us to get dinner out, lol!

We found a small one on amazon for $200. You have to use it over your stove, it’s amazing! Hmmm... I know you can make Naan with a pizza stone so probably! I bet youtube has tutorials
