Wedding Rentals

Hi! For anyone that has rented stuff for their wedding, any rental companies you recommend? Did you only rent from local places? I’m having trouble finding everything I need to rent from one local place. Thanks!

We aren't renting anything so I won't be much help, but have you asked your venue to see if they recommend any rental companies or vendors? They may have some recs you could use!

We rented from two different local vendors. Didn’t really want to have two but the first one had all our table setting and the second had all our textiles. The second vendor had much higher prices and a minimum so we unfortunately had to spend more than we originally planned… I also use ‘local’ vendor loosely since one is closer to our home but two hours from the venue while the other is half way to the venue.

What are you looking to rent that a local company can't accommodate? I know there is rentmywedding.com for more items for room setup.

I rented from a local place. The company offered planning services, rental and floral so I am getting all three from them at a decent price. I am renting all the linens, napkins, arch, decor pieces and photo booth along with month of planning bridal bouquet and centerpieces flowers. Pretty much everything really. I looked into purchasing them or even DIY but it is a semi-destination wedding so I can’t just make things at home and then fly them with me to where we are getting married.

The local companies I’ve looked at don’t have the colors we are looking for. Our main color is plum but they only seem to have a bright purple or lavender.

I would check with you venue to see if they have a linen vendor they deal with regularly. If your venue doesn't have your color there are a lot of places online have linen rentals.

Our venue had a linen vendor they always worked with, so we just picked from the offerings they had.

Everything we are renting (tables/chairs/linens/lounge furniture/dishes, etc) is from local companies. It’s not unheard of to rent from more than one local company. I can’t imagine that the shipping costs would be reasonable at all.

Hi there! Wedding rentals can definitely be a bit of a puzzle, especially when you’re trying to find everything in one place. I’ve been through this myself, so I totally get the struggle.

    1. Start with Local Rental Companies: I initially focused on local rental companies, which was great for larger items like tents, tables, and chairs. The benefit of local companies is that you can usually visit their showroom, see the items in person, and they often have more flexible delivery and setup options. Plus, it’s always nice to support local businesses!

    2. Consider Specialty Rental Companies: If you’re having trouble finding everything you need locally, specialty rental companies that operate nationwide might be a good option. Websites like Outdoor Celebrations (for high-end linens) or Bright Event Rentals (which has a wide selection of unique furniture and décor) might help fill in the gaps. These companies often have a broader selection of specialty items that smaller local places might not carry.

    3. Mix and Match: Don’t be afraid to rent from a few different places if needed. For our wedding, we ended up renting the essentials like tables and chairs from a local rental company but sourced some unique décor pieces and lighting from another vendor. It took a little extra coordination, but it was worth it to get exactly what we wanted.

    4. Ask Your Venue for Recommendations: Sometimes venues have preferred vendors they work with regularly, which can simplify the process. They might be able to recommend rental companies that are familiar with the space and have everything you need.

I hope this helps, and best of luck with your planning! You’ll find everything you need soon enough—just keep at it!
