Wedding rescheduling

Marisa, on March 8, 2020 at 9:15 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 4
My fiancé and I are forced to reschedule our wedding to a later date. Most of our guests have already RSVP’d to the original date. After we have the new date set, should we notify those who have already declined or did not respond at all??

Once you have a new date you should commit that with everyone you originally invited.

Yes. You should invite everyone who you invited the first time. NO hurt feelings that way, and the ones who declined may be able to come now & vice versa.

Thanks for the input. We are having a destination wedding, so I thought by bringing it up to them again with the new date, that we were pressuring them to make the trip. I didn't want it to be taken the wrong way.

I would notify everyone asap about it being moved and let them know that new invites will go out when you have a new date.
