We are planning for our wedding to be 2 days before Christmas and are worried that most of our guests wont be able to make it or just plan on not going because its a holiday. How would you handle the stress? December 23, 2021

My sister got married a few years ago on that exact date and everyone came. Mind you she had 160 people, so I think you'll be fine! Best of luck!

My wedding was on December 23 two years ago and we only invited immediate family and our closest friends - the people we would have spent time with anyway. We had 40 guests. We were very aware of what we were asking our guest to do - to spend their Christmas weekend with us about 1.5 to 2 hours away, so as a result, we paid for their accommodations for the weekend and splurged on them. If your family and friends are not able to spend this time with you then I wouldn't do it.

I'm curious to know what the ending to this story was! Did the poster have people show up or was it a disaster?? Was the day wasted? Or was it a day for all who knew her to remember?
I'm getting married on Christmas Day but I have zero concern over people showing up or not. It's essentially an elopement in my case.
