Wedding Ring and Engagement Ring Gap?

I didn't like the curved bands either (my e-ring is a Halo so that's the obvious choice) so I got this criss cross band!

I like the way wedding bands and engagement rings look when they have a gap. I wouldn’t want it to look like they’re one ring personally!

My rings looks very similar to the example of the "straight" ring you posted and I actually prefer my wedding ring and e-ring to have a little gap. I personally really don't like the look of rings that look like one, I like people to see that I am married and it's not just an elaborate e-ring!

Plus, if you got the curved band you would probably want to have them soldered together, otherwise they might cause damage to each other if they misalign. With the straight bands you have the option of wearing just the wedding band by itself.

This is mine. But honestly, I don’t plan to wear a wedding band past the wedding day. I’m not sure how I feel about the gap. Maybe this thread will help ease my thoughts....maybe not. Lol.

I have gaps but outside of the middle since my e-ring band tapers down in size. I like how it looks though

My wedding band was carved down/out a bit where the engagement ring main stones go, so they fit together next to each other. I'll post a pic of I can get one!

I really really wanted a straight band. I wanted to be able to wear it alone, as you said. But it just didn't work with my setting. It wasn't just a gap, it didn't sit well on my finger.
So, the jeweler pulled this one out. It's slightly curved but not super noticeable and can be worn alone. I absolutely love it! Anything else i liked i would have been settling. It doesn't look like one big nice ring either
i suggest to keep looking, don't settle!

You gotta do you! I’m OBSESSIVE that my engagement and wedding band fit together like one ring, no gaps or anything! But obviously there’s a lot of people on here that feel the opposite! If you love it, get it!

I have the same problem with my band not fitting my engagement ring. I've decided If I'm not able to have the jeweler fix it then I will wear it anyway.

Personally I love the gap! My engagement ring has a more vintage setting and sits low, but I like it the way it is. I’m seeing more and more brides do “the gap” these days - especially with the popularity of large, low-set emerald and radiant cuts - and I think if you like it, do it!

I personally love a little gap & I wanted a straight wedding band so I could wear it alone at work if I wanted.

I'm having trouble with this too because my ring has leaves all around it. I will say this though, if you have them fit together and plan to keep wearing your engagement ring, it's best to attach them together. My mom has a wedding ring that fits around her engagement ring but they ended up loosening the stones on each other so she had the two bands melted together

Mine has a large gap, as I have a an anniversary band and my engagement ring together, now I can get a band made to go between then that will allow flush on both sides but I will have to get it custom made so that it will fit right up against my engagement ring. I like my gap and I love that my piece is unique and out of the box ❤️
