Wedding Ring Box

Maria, on April 5, 2019 at 2:04 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 21

I was just wondering how most of you presented or planned to have the best man present the rings at the ceremony? Do you leave them in their original boxes? Did you purchase a special double ring box? If you did I would love to see photos!

I would love to purchase a wood box either engraved or painted, but some of them seemed kind of big and I was wondering who would hold the box and it it would be awkward removing them to present at the ceremony.

PS- My ring bearer is 2 and he will not carry the rings but a sign! Smiley smile

Best, ty!

My ring bearers will be sign holders as well and I had planned to just have the best man carry down the my ring in its original box and my maid of honor carry down his ring in his box. But since she will be holding her bouquet, I might just have her put his ring around her finger so its right there when I need it. It would be kind of awkward for her to carry the ring box and a big bouquet!

I wish I had an answer, because this is something I've been contemplating lately too. Like you, I want a wooden box, but they all look so big.

I got a wooden ring holder from Etsy. It looks beautiful but was a bad idea! The lid didn’t secure closed. So I ordered a Mrs. Box in blush and the lid is secure. I ordered a double holder.

The best man just kept them in his pocket & put them there right before the ceremony started and handed them over to the officiant when he needed them

I just bought a small wooden ring box from hobby lobby a couple nights ago. I plan to paint it a light cream color, put a burgundy painted wooden heart on the the top, and put our initials on it. I also need to get the padding for the inside. Probably at Michael's.

Sorry, what is the purpose of the ring box? If it’s for a nice photo, could you just use the box during detail shots by your photographer? I don’t think your audience will notice the special box during the ceremony. And it might look strange in photos to have a box bulge pre ring exchange. 😂 Typically the officiant or DOC tells the best man and MOH to put the rings on a finger slightly smaller than the ring for the brief time they’ll be holding onto it.

My sister's wedding was baseball themed. She had her 2 ring bearers dress up in baseball uniforms, and they carried baseballs that had been cut in half and hollowed out. The rings were inside.
My wedding is Beauty and the Beast, so I am having my ring bearer carry a ring box that looks like a rose. It opens up and the rings are inside.

I ordered a customized wooden ring box on Etsy. It wasn't too big and had enough space for both our rings. The best man carried it in his jacket pocket and there was no bulge. We did a ring blessing so we wanted a nice box to pass around. Our ringbearer carried a sign.

For our wedding we are changing things up here. My grand-daughter will be our ring bear and my two grandsons will be her bling security. She 7 yrs old & she will be holding the rings. She maybe holding his ring, cause the best man is to hold the ring for the bride. We 138 days left to make a decision

Thank you! Not sure if you were also asking me about the box staying closed, but yes, it does.

Here is the link to the Etsy shop. It comes from Russia but I had no problems with the seller being very responsive and quick to ship.

Party city is closing in my area and I believe in most areas as well. Yesterday, I went in to look around and I was so happy. I found a ring box for my ring bearer to walk down the aisle to, Mr and Mrs cup, garter for my bach party and some other accessories. They had a lot of wedding signs, card boxes, place cards, etc in the wedding section.

Our date is 12-7-2019 and we're incorporating some holiday elements without being "too much". One of those being the ring boxes our 2 ring bearers will carry. I found 2 Christmas gift boxes this past year during clearance at Michael's and they're big enough to hold the original jewelry store boxes. With a little bit of holiday ribbon- also on clearance- it will look like they're carrying little presents. Smiley gift
